WATERLOO, IA – Cedar Valley United Way Women United hosted a Wine Tasting with Purpose event Thursday, April 27 at the Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo. Event attendees selected Cedar Valley Friends of the Family, Family and Children's Council, and House of Hope to receive funding grants ranging from $500 to $1000.
Women United, formerly known as “Women's Philanthropy Connection", has been repositioned by United Way Worldwide. United Way's women's affinity groups engage more donors and raise more money than all other affinity groups combined. The new name provides one network, with one brand, and one voice, enabling the group to engage more women leaders more deeply - driving growth, building trust, and ultimately becoming the global leader in women's philanthropy. Women United harnesses the power and dedication of women leaders to transform local communities - across America and around the world.
