Waterloo, IA – The Cedar Valley United Way Board of Directors elected new officers and appointed new board members at its annual meeting. Officers for 2022 are Board Chair Jill Mejia, Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo; Vice-Chair Dr. Lucas Cook, Cedar Valley Eye Care; Secretary Heather Bishop, John Deere; Treasurer Tom Blanford, Collins Community Credit Union; and Past-Chair David Harris, University of Northern Iowa Athletics.

This is a historic year for Cedar Valley United Way as it celebrates 100 years in our community. I am excited to celebrate the work that has been done in the last 100 years and set the United Way up for continued success in the next 100 years.”
Board members elected to new terms include: Dr. Gwenne Berry, University of Northern Iowa; Denelle Gonnerman, Cedar Falls Schools; Jaclyne Heller, KWWL; Josh Horstman, Target; Donna Kitrick, Waterloo Community Schools; Mersiha Mustedanagic, Realtor/Vine Valley Real Estate; and Sandi Sommerfelt, Grow Cedar Valley.
